Now that the next installment of the Terminator franchise, Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, is filming, expect to see more casting news. The film will focus on the war between humanity and Skynet and target a PG-13 audience. Director McG has stated it's about the development of the Model 101 Terminator. Watch for it in theaters May 22, 2009. The newest cast addition is rapper Common who will play a freedom fighter and member of John Connor's inner circle. He will play The Gunsmith in Wanted, coming June 27, 2008, starring James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie. Christian Bale (Batman) plays John Connor, the leader of the human resistance. Anton Yelchin (Chekov in Star Trek (2009)) is Kyle Reese who becomes friends with an early Terminator named Marcus, played by Sam Worthington. Rumors have Moon Bloodgood (Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009)) taking on the female lead as a battle-hardened member of the resistance.
