In other news... we need your help to save HANDMADE products in the USA from the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). An act passed in Congress will require testing of ALL products for children 12 & under. This includes not only imported goods, but handmade products like The Patchwork Bear. With government regulation, this testing will cost $4000 per product and will likely drive us and other small US-based companies out of business.
We are parents who are concerned for our children's safety and support the testing of producs IMPORTED from countries with a history of tainted goods. We are simply requesting the CPSIA to modify the act as currently written to accommodate small, US-based businesses.
